In November 2002, Mattel launched a set of Holiday in the Sun dolls, available exclusively through the video store Blockbuster. These dolls were not sold elsewhere, but Mattel also released a series of Holiday in the Sun fashion assortments for retail stores. The fashion packs featured three outfits worn by the twins in the 2001 direct-to-video film Holiday in the Sun. Like the dolls, these fashion packs included collectible cards, outfits from the film, and various accessories.
MATTEL PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
The looks featured in these fashion packs are actually worn by Mary-Kate and Ashley in their hit video, "Holiday in the Sun", so girls can role-play all their favorite scenes! Each pack comes with everything girls need to re-create their favorite scenes, including two complete fashions and cool accessories. Girls can mix and match the fashions yo create lots of different looks.
