FASHION DOLLS: APRIL 2000

In April 2000, Mattel unveiled the highly anticipated Mary-Kate and Ashley dolls, meticulously crafted in collaboration with the twins and their company, Dualstar. Each doll came with two stylish outfit changes, a collection of accessories, and a collectible fashion poster - offering fans a chance to bring the iconic twins' world to life! INTERESTING FACTS

• Although frequently referred to as the "Two of a Kind" dolls by fans, these dolls were never officially named after the beloved TV series. They debuted nearly a year after the show had concluded, though they were designed to reflect the twins' appearance during its production.
• A curious detail - despite Mary-Kate and Ashley being born in 1986, the packaging incorrectly lists their birth year as 1987 on the first wave of these dolls.
• The dolls' faces are incredibly accurate! Using advanced 3D imaging technology, Mattel created precise face molds based on scans of Mary-Kate and Ashley's real features.
